East Lohman Veterinary Clinic was established in 1977 by Dr. Maury Brown, in January 2013 Dr. Brown turned the reins over to Dr. Jamie Ross who is the current clinic owner. We are a small animal clinic that treats dogs, cats, and exotic patients. The mission of East Lohman Veterinary Clinic is to provide quality compassionate care including; preventative care, sick patient care, diagnostics, surgery, and routine and surgical dental care.
The staff at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic strives to be caring and compassionate and to provide the highest level of care available to our small animal patients. All of our staff members are pet owners too and understand the bond between pets and their humans. We have state of the art equipment including in-house blood machines, an ultrasound machine, a video otoscope, anesthesia monitoring equipment, digital dental radiograph, and digital x-ray. Jamie Ross, DVM
Dr. Jamie Ross graduated from NMSU in 2004 with a degree in Animal Science and went on to pursue her dream by going to veterinary school at Washington State University. She graduated from WSU with a degree in veterinary medicine in 2008 and shortly thereafter joined the team at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic. As of January 2013 Dr. Ross became the clinic owner. In her spare time Dr. Ross enjoys spending time with her daughter and her dogs and cats. Dr. Ross loves large breed dogs and has an Irish Wolfhound, a wolfhound mix, a three-legged pitbull that was rescued and two small terriers who are also rescues. Dr. Ross looks forward to the future and is excited to continuing and increasing the quality of care received at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic.
Deborah Cook, DVM
Dr. Cook was born and raised in Alamogordo, NM and graduated from high school there in 1981. She then attended NMSU and graduated in 1985 with a B.S. in Animal Science. Following her days at NMSU Dr. Cook attended Colorado State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences in 1989. Dr. Cook moved back to Las Cruces in 1989 and began working at East Lohman Veterinary Clinic. Her special interests include small animal medicine and exotic animal medicine and husbandry. She enjoys working with reptiles and small mammals in addition to dogs and cats. Dr. Cook is married and has 2 children, she also shares her home with dogs, cats, turtles and a bird.
Maury Brown, DVM
Dr. Brown established East Lohman Veterinary Clinic in 1977 in Las Cruces, NM which is where he currently resides with his wife and is retired.
Deena is a New Mexico native she graduated from NMSU with a B.S. in Animal Science in 1984. Deena has been a veterinary assistant for over 25 years. She joined East Lohman Veterinary Clinic in 2008.
Merlinda grew up in Dona Ana and graduated from Mayfield High School. She is married and has 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. She has been with East Lohman Veterinary Clinic since March 2010. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also shares her home with several cats and dogs and has a special interest in Doberman and Miniature Pinschers.
Tess is a New Mexico native, born and raised in Las Cruces, NM. She graduated from NMSU in 2001 with a degree in Administrative Accounting. Tess joined East Lohman Veterinary Clinic in 2011. Tess enjoys the company of her two cats and her many nieces and nephews many of which have 4 legs and a tail.
